Queens University of Charlotte is situated just minutes from Uptown Charlotte, which is one of the fastest growing metro areas in the country. The city of Charlotte is not just a beautiful place to live but it is also an exciting place to work and study. Queens has established a rich and prominent presence among NCAA Division II programs throughout the nation. Upon going co-ed in 1987, Queens began fielding athletic teams in 1988 and joined the NCAA at the Division II level in 1990. The membership allows the university to offer athletic scholarships and compete for national championships. The Queens Royals are also a member of the South Atlantic Conference, though the four-time NCAA DII National Champion men's and women's swim programs compete in Bluegrass Mountain Conference and the field hockey and men's wrestling teams compete in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas. As Queens begins its 30th year of co-ed collegiate athletics, the university remains proud of its athletic heritage and the achievements of its 30 programs, coaching staff, and student-athletes.

Visitors coming to Queens have a lot of different options with the Queens campus being located just minutes from Uptown Charlotte. There are many restaurants, antique shops, shopping malls, and museums to visit to make sure you have a great experience in Charlotte.
